About
Sis. Harding founded the Mount Vernon, Ohio, Church of God alongside her husband, G. William Harding. The church was built from the precious souls they met at work and from the local college. The congregation grew from a handful of close friends to about 200 members under her and her husband’s ministry. She has taught women's seminars worldwide, authored a book on the role of godly women in the home, and raised several children in a godly environment. Additionally, she was a member of the Richwood church of God and is a founding member of the Palominas Chapel church of God.
After over 40 years of pastoring and teaching in Mount Vernon, Sis. Harding wanted to ensure her influence would not overshadow the new leadership developing there. With one of her other sons stepping into the pastoral role, she chose to attend the congregation with her son Nathan, who had been leading the same group for over a year. This group was establishing itself under new outreach opportunities and ministry efforts. Sis. Harding’s involvement allowed her to continue using her gifts for God while giving space for fresh ideas to take root in Mount Vernon. Her thoughtful transition reflected her commitment to supporting growth where needed while allowing space for changes.
Sis. Harding’s contribution to this new chapter of ministry allowed her to continue making a meaningful impact. Her lifetime of service, including teaching women's seminars worldwide and authoring the book on godly women’s roles, remains a testament to her dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders. Even now, she continues to author articles of faith and inspiration, offering insights through the lens of history and experience. Follow her writing to learn more about the things of God and take a walk down memory lane.
